Howling at the moon in wolf territory
Time to leave civilization behind and head into the wild. Search for wolves, moose and beavers in their natural habitat learn about the important biodiversity of the unique ecosystem in central Sweden as you go.
Before you step off the beaten track you first spend a night in a cozy self-catering cabin at a nature resort situated on a beautiful lake. A great place to unwind, go for a swim or do some fishing.
Next day you meet your local wildlife guide who will take you into the woods for a 24-hrs offline experience where you really go back to nature and back to the basics. He will teach you some basic tracking and survival skills. Which berries and wild mushrooms can you eat and what is the difference between deer tracks and those left by a moose?
At a secret location deep in pristine boreal forest where you will camp in the wild. Together with your guide you will set up camp, gather wood and help prepare dinner over an open fire, using some of the ingredients that you have foraged yourself like juniper, blueberries and chanterelles.
After diner you can share stories around the campfire and enjoy the stars in the sky. Chances of seeing wolves is small as they are actually really shy, but with a bit of luck you might hear them howling at moon at night! Next morning you wake up to the smell of coffee and fresh baked bread.
