Caveman for a day
You meet up with your guide and everyone turns off their phone. After discussing the route you set off on foot. During the trek the guide learns you basic tracking skills and points out the footprints and dung of the different animals that live in the park. You can expect to see zebra, wildebeast, nile crocodiles and several types of antelope like kudu and impala.
Late afternoon you arrive at the San Bushman cave. The San are the original inhabitants of Southern Africa. They were hunter gatherers and used to overnight in the cave. They made paintings on the walls. There is a latrine toilet close to the cave, from where you can sit and enjoy views of the valley.
After setting up camp you can enjoy the sunset from the nearby rocky outcrop. It feels like you are on the set of the real life Lion King movie. The evening is spent telling stories and sharing cultural experiences around the campfire.
