A 4×4 will take you from Maun to the edge of the delta. Here you step into your Mokoro (dug-out canoe) and silently glide through the shallow waters of the Okavango to one of the uninhabited islands. Chances are great you will spot hippo’s and lots of birdlife along the way. After setting up camp you have the chance to go for a swim and explore your surroundings. Your guide will take you for a sunset walking safari. It is an amazing experience to encounter giraffes, buffalo’s, zebra’s and other wildlife while on foot. After diner you can relax around the campfire listen to the sound of the bush and stare at the star filled skies. Don’t be surprised if a herd of elephants comes wandering through your camp in the middle of the night!
